During the working meeting in Budapest on 26th and 27th July EDS Chairman and Secretary General participated in international conference, organised by Hanns Seidel Stiftung „Security and Stability in Stability in South Eastern Europe” and had the meeting with the representative of the Stiftung in Slovakia and Hungary, Mr. Hans Friedrich von Solemacher.

European Democrat Students (EDS) commemorated the 6th anniversary of the death of the 40th President of the United States of America, Ronald Reagan (1911-2004). Chairman of EDS Bence Bauer placed a wreath at the Ronald Reagan statute in the Városliget City Park in Budapest and commemorated this way.
He declared that Reagan was a fighter for freedom and democracy worldwide, but especially in Europe.

The EDS delegation headed by EDS Chairman Bence Bauer took part at the 2010 Bologna Ministerial Conference. At the end of the period set up for the creation of the European Higher Education Area, European Democrat Students were present in Budapest and Vienna where 47 countries gathered in order to look forward the next decade.

Exactly 49 years ago, European Democrat Students (EDS) was founded 13th of May 1961 in Vienna as The International Christian-Democratic and Conservative Student Union (ICCS) and had five founding members: Austria (FÖSt), Germany (RCDS), Sweden (SKSF), Norway (DKSF) and Denmark (DK).
